2018 guideline for Physical Activity recommendations include the following:
At least 150 minutes a week of moderate intensity aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous activity
Strength training two or more days a week
Examples for promoting physical activity during a pandemic:
Take a walk following COVID-19 precautions outside or inside.
Do short seated strength exercises following a personal trainer or recorded video online.
Use household items for weights (if you don’t own dumbbells or other weights) water bottles, soup cans, etc.
